11/12/2009 Kennedy's been at it again! A truly beautiful lady in red, Kilvroch Tamina "Buttercup" (imp UK) was bred to Kennedy so fingers crossed for a January litter at kennel Big-Wood's! Thank you, Eileen, for bringing your lovely bitch to Kennedy!

10/20/2009 On October 17th, Kennedy went Best In Show Specialty at the Corgis Club de France's 13th Annual Specialty in Janvry, France. There were 28 Cardigans plus 51 Pembrokes entered and both breeds were judged by a respected breeder-judge Mr. Kim Vigso Nielsen (Kennel Blondie's) from Denmark. Best of Opposite Sex in Cardigans was Christine Sonberg's beautiful Ch. Phi-Vestavia Goody Goody "Gabby" who swept Kennedy of his feet by the end of the day! Congrats to Christine & co. on your wonderful results in both Cardigan as well as the Pembroke ring (and thank you for the great company)!

10/07/2009 Linda's & Kennedy's puppies are soon off to new homes. Puppy pics at 7 weeks can be found in their own Photobucket gallery. We would like to wish the "Kennedy Kids" the brightest of futures and good luck to the new owners! In other news, Kennedy has just mated the beautiful "Lettu" (Ch. Yardican Iwin) and we are now hoping for a black/blue litter to be born at Kennel Trafox.

09/22/2009 Kennedy's health clearances are now completed. The official results can be seen either on his own page or in the Finnish Kennel Club's Breeding Database. Add to the Finnish Kennel Club's grading (FCI based) I also asked for an OFFA evaluation. Due to Kennedy's age (under 24 months) his results are preliminary but still, nothing to be ashamed of! His hips are OFA FAIR & his elbows OFA NORMAL.

08/25/2009 During the summer, Kennedy has done quite well in the ring. He has been shown by Mrs. Else Ahlbom (kennel Haywire's) as their co-operation is more or less seamless. The most important event of the year, the Finnish Welsh Corgi Club's Specialty turned out to be a very rewarding show for Kennedy. He went 2nd Best Dog with CAC (judge: Mr. Steven Gladstone, US), BOB Junior (judge: Mrs. Marieann Gladstone, US) & ultimately BIS-2 Junior (judge: Mr. David Guempel, US).
Kennedy's accumulated score (from official classes) to date:
-7x CAC & 2x CACIB & 2x resCAC (Finland)
-1x CAC & 1x CACIB (Sweden)
-6x BOB
-2x BIS-2 Junior
-1x Group-2

The very first "Kennedy kids" were born on August 16th at kennel Newcard's. Linda free-whelped 5 puppies, 3 girls & 2 boys of which 4 are tricolors & 1 is brindle. More pictures will be posted as the babies grow!
